Trouble Fête a por su 5ª Mijas Cup - Trouble Fête at its 5 th Mijas Cup

----

Trouble Fête (IRE) chestnut gelding born in 2.003 son of Fantastic Light and TrulyGenerous.

This is the origin of the horse :

The curious name of our hero ... Trouble Fête in French means "spoilers", and curiousalso the name of his mother ... Truly Generous English means "truly generous".

However Trouble Fête has never been a spoiler, quite the contrary, has always provided a lot of joy to all his owners during its long history as a racehorse in Spain.

Until today (January 31, 2011) has made 80.025 euros in prize money in its 48 trips to the track that have resulted in 2 wins and 24 placings. These figures may be interpreted as modest, but what is certain is that Trouble Fête has been on paid posts on 54.17% of the races he has participated and has an average income of 1,667euros for each race . We believe that this can be considered a record.

There is a small story about this horse so honored that we believe deserves to be told.To date is 8 years old but, to his 7 years old owners, the Cuadra Buxus decided to liquidate, leaving Trouble Fête "orphan", a component of the block, convinced that the horse could still demonstrate quality, tried to find other partners to form a new block with "grandpa" Trouble Fête. He gave the horse to other timeshare blocks without asking anything in return, only had to bear the expenses, coach and general expenses, but even so, the offer was rejected.

However, after many calls and personal contacts, a few good fans also believed it was worth the time and became partners in what is now the owner of the horse block, the Block Birdie. But what Trouble Fête did return?, during the year 2.010, ie 7 years of age, participated in 10 races (in categories A and D) with a balance of 4 seconds and 1third, had bad luck some of them but even so, he managed to win 12,025 euros in prize money and their new owners a lot of priceless joys.

But the title of this blog post leads to better career financially endowed Spain, Mijas Cup with 51.000 euros to the first is one of the most prestigious races of the Spanish horse racing calendar and it involved only horses of high quality. This race is considered one of the hardest of those held in Spain.

Trouble Fête currently holds a record of participation in the Mijas Cup, today participated in the last 4 editions getting 2 meritorious third place and 20.400 euros.

This record is shared with horses Anbari, who participated from 2.001 to 2.004 and Ocean International, which made the 2.004 to 2.007, but Trouble Fête, if an inciden thappens that nobody wants, will also participate in the Mijas Cup this year 2.011 to be held on February 27. That means it will go down in history as the only horse who has participated in such a prestigious race in 5 consecutive years, this record will be very difficult to match let alone beat.

This big horse has also participated in other prestigious Spanish race in the Grand Prix Corpa 2 times with a 4 th place in 2.007, the Grand Prix Memorial Duque deToledo 1 time, at the Grand Prix Fernán Núñez gets a 5, and Grand Prix of Madrid.

Our protagonist has also made possible another record for the Matias Borrego jockey since Trouble Fête is the horse that has mounted more times this extraordinary Spanish rider :

We are confident that this great horse will give much joy to both their owners, Block Birdie, his trainer M. R. Borrego (which is doing great work with him) and the fans.

These are the videos of the Mijas Cups in which Trouble Fête was third, years 2007 and 2009 :

At the races (Going out at Kempton) by Sir Alfred Munnings

October Meeting by Sir Alfred Munnings

Under Starter's Orders, Newmarket Start by Sir Alfred Munnings

The art of horse racing" :

Imagen de / Image from Mike_tn

There is just something about hoofprints that spark the imagination of every horse lover. They are all that is left of the horse that passed by, and we are always a bit sorry we’ve missed it.

Gotta Love Photographers

Luckily there are plenty of horse loving photographers who understand that rather romantic moment well enough to capture it on film. Here is a selection of photographs that make me wish I’d been there to see the horse who made them…regardless of the weather.

A Horse Gone By

Of course for those who spend a lot of time around horses, their prints aren’t such a unique thing. It’s more about finding them in unexpected places. If you liked these you may like an artistic look at horse shoes too.

This mare was the winner of the Breeders Cup Mile in the years 1987 and 1888 and had owned many years the record for Groups I won (with a total of 10).

These are the two videos from those who won Breeders' Cup. Really awesome superiority over the other participants.

No doubt a great loss for breeding.

----

The story of this horse is as good as its class and can also be said to have a bit of bad luck because it has repeatedly faced horses of other "galaxies" that have fought him at great races.

Youmzain, however, has a record, a sad record, being the only horse that has been second three times in the history of one of the most important races in the world calendar, I mean the Grand Prix Arc de Triomphe Paris at Longchamp racecourse. To his credit I must say that those who preceded him, horses are considered to be great champions, these are the data from these races :

- In 2007 the race was won by Dylan Thomas, Youmzain came second and third was Sagara.

As shown in the photograph of the arrival, our hero was only beaten by a head, although that could have won the race if his attack was filed a little earlier.

Down insert the video of the race :

- In 2.008 the story was repeated but this time was beaten by one of the best mares in the history, we refer to Zarkava, was Youmzain second and third place was Soldier of Fortune.

At that time, this extraordinary mare that is Zarkava won by 2 lengths away even though he was locked up much of the race though Youmzain did the same and found a place to present their attack later the mare, when it was too late to react.

The picture was taken after the goal and shows us the joy of winning jockey Christophe Soumillon as important race.

This is the only video we found on the Arch of 2.008, although it is of very poor quality, you can see what we have discussed above :

- Unveiling the 2.009 and Youmzain, true to that appointment, he also participated in the great test, and how not?, finished second behind Sea The Stars.

The picture leaves no doubt that we can see as Sea the Stars won comfortably by two bodies.

The video of the race shows that, at 200 mts. the goal, when Sea the Stars was already in head, Youmzain was more than five bodies away, and despite being the most capped horse did not have time to get to reach the horse Mick Kinane rodes and won his last Grand Prix.

- In the edition of the Arc de Triomphe in 2.010, Youmzain, with seven years of age, participated for the fourth consecutive time in the test but this time he could not finish in the paid positions, occupied the tenth place of 18 participants. Workforce won that day and ran Youzmain very locked in the back of the pack, came last in the final straight and at present their attack very late, only able to occupy that square.

This is video of the race:

But Youmzain has other records, it has also placed several times in one of the most prestigious event in the UK, spoke of King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

- In 2.007 finished second behind Dylan Thomas, it then would beat him in the Arc de Triomphe :

In 2008 he was third, beaten by Duke of Marmalade and Papal Bull. That day, despite having few participants, their jockey known lock and when it was decided to submit his attack, he was clearly prejudiced by Papal Bull to cut short Youmzain action. The final meters are really precious and that Duke of Marmalade, after being passed, returns to base of heart to recover the first since, in the end, he stood as the winner of that race.

- In 2010 finished third beaten by Harbinger, winning comfortably, and Cape Blanco :

His trainer is the famous Mick Channon, a former Southampton player where he played football for 10 years and even got to play in the selection of his country.

Youmzain has also won several Group I, among other careers, such as the Preis von Europa in 2.006 and the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud in 2.008

Youmzain has won more than 3.400.000 pounds sterling, 100 times what it cost as a yearling, 32.000 guineas (1 guinea = 1 pound + 1 shilling).

This year 2011 has been withdrawn Youmzain to practice as a stallion, sure that his children will inherit the fighting spirit and class of his father.
