166ª edición de las carreras en la playa de Sanlucar - 166 th edition of the races on the beach in Sanlucar

Este año 2.011 se celebra la 166ª edición de las carreras de caballos en la playa de Sanlucar de Barrameda (Cádiz). Estas carreras están consideradas como las mas antiguas de España y también ostentan el título mundial de antigüedad de las celebradas en playas en lugar de un hipódromo.

Como en años anteriores, ha tenido lugar la presentación oficial del cartel anunciador, este año se ha realizado en las instalaciones de las bodegas Hidalgo La Gitana.

" Bodegas Hidalgo La Gitana, que se encuentran ubicadas en calle Banda Playa y prácticamente en las inmediaciones del recinto de la Feria de la  Manzanilla, fueron el escenario del cartel anunciador de la 166 edición de las Carreras de Caballos de Sanlúcar, que un buen día recibió la denominación del ‘mayor espectáculo de las playas del sur’. El primer ciclo se celebrará durante los días 10, 11 y 12 de agosto, mientras que el segundo durante el 25, 26 y 27 del citado mes...

... La 166 edición de las carreras de caballos de Sanlúcar en su temporada de verano tendrá un presupuesto de 600.000 euros, de los que 170.000 quedarán destinados en premios. Indicar que la Sociedad de Carreras de Caballos de Sanlúcar sigue cerrando el acuerdo con distintos patrocinadores para que sigan colaborando en la celebración de este gran espectáculo hípico. La organización de este peculiar y único espectáculo ecuestre confirmó a este periódico que se celebrarán 23 carreras de caballos purasangres, distribuidos en 11 en el primer ciclo y en 12 en el segundo ciclo...

... El Gran Premio Ciudad de Sanlúcar tendrá un importante total en premios de 16.150 euros... "
