Loch Etive, caballo a observar - Loch Etive, horse to watch

On Sunday 14 November 2010 debuted in Spain in the La Zarzuela racetrack in Madrid, the horse LOCH ETIVE to the colors of the block of Daniel Roset. Was keen to see him perform because I knew of his quality and was very considered on the block.

The choice of the race for his debut did not seem the most appropriate because this horse is of more distance and, above all, carrying 67,5 kgs. with the heavy track (and then another 5 races were run before, worse) it was a little complicated for him.

The truth is that he ran perfectly, coming in second place, and I think this horse going to talk a lot in Spain because I suppose going to win many races and I think could hope to run in great prizes. Put down the video of that first race in Spain :

In the pedigree of LOCH ETIVE :

Apart from his father ROCK OF GIBRALTAR, famous stallion, my attention his mother AMAZING KRISKEN with a splendid origin :

This mare, at a junction with GALILEO, had a daughter named SUB ROSE, born in 2005, whose origin is worth noting :

The SUB ROSE best performance was his victory in the Prix de Chantilly Royaumont, a Group III over 2.400 meters.

I think that having run in Spain on a horse that has a maternal sister won a Group III is a luxury and, although so far he has won only a race, gives me the impression that in Spain will have a great future.

Good luck to the block of Daniel Roset.

Following this review LOCH ETIVE ran a race on 13 February 2011 in Malaga, Mijas racecourse in sand track. It was the E-Quiniela Award, category C, over 2.200 meters. This race is considered as preparatory to the Mijas Cup, the race is best equipped of all those held in Spain with 43.000 euros to the first. Loch Etive in that race was, at equal weight, second horse of ENTRE COPAS, only a neck from him :

In addition to the excellent second place, Loch Etive beat horses like JORDAN WATER, NELSON GROOM or SHUMOOKH.

This is video of that race:

LOCH ETIVE at that time was a serious candidate for victory in the Mijas Cup to be held on 27 February 2011.

The bad luck made that he did get hurt in horse transportation to Madrid and was not enrolled in this great race that won ENTRE COPAS and NELSON GROOM was third.

We offer here the video of the Mijas Cup of this year in which he would, without doubt, an excellent role, we wish him a great future :

Historia del caballo - History of the Horse
